Estée Lauder has teamed up with Perfect Corp to launch a mobile augmented reality training program harnessing YouCam technology to create the first AR make-up education tool for Lauder’s 17,000 beauty advisors worldwide.

The collaboration is said to evolve the way Estee Lauder works with its beauty advisors, with the new live AR training tool said to ‘educate, entertain and inform.’ Indeed, the interactive live stream will allow the company’s Global Education team to put on real-time trainings and product briefings of which advisors can watch live from their phones. Beauty advisors will also be able to try on various looks during the sessions as well as follow slide presentations and ask real-time questions.

Stephane de La Faverie, Global Brand President, Estée Lauder, said, “We are thrilled to continue our pioneering partnership with YouCam to bring mobile-based Augmented Reality training to our Beauty Advisors around the world. We believe this is a turning point in beauty education and leveraging technology.”

As part of the program, the company’s Global Education team can also track attendance, engagements and overall performance of trainers and participants, as well as hosting live training sessions.
