Kris Wilson, President of Vince Camuto Handbags, Dies at 53

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. for Kris Wilson, president of Vince Camuto Handbags at Camuto Group, at Our Lady of the Annunciation in Queensbury, N.Y. Wilson, 53, died Monday following a battle with cancer. She was active in the company until her death. Wilson grew up in Glens Falls, N.Y., and graduated from SUNY Plattsburgh with a degree in counseling psychology. She then pursued her love of fashion at The New School’s Parsons School of Design. Her first job in fashion was with Polo Ralph Lauren as a manager of the home department in one of its stores, and she later joined the Lauren organization in the children’s division. She eventually became an account executive and assistant accessories buyer at the company. Wilson worked at Liz Claiborne as national sales manager of accessories before moving to the Nine West Group, where she held positions of increasing responsibility, rising to senior vice president of Nine West Footwear and then president of Bandolino Footwear. She joined Camuto Group in 2012 and was president of Vince Camuto Handbags, overseeing design and sales for five of its brands: Vince Camuto women’s and men’s, Louise et Cie, Lucky Brand and ED Ellen DeGeneres handbags. ”Kris
